Individual Trauma Therapy
Healing from trauma involves more than remembering what happened — it involves understanding how those experiences continue to shape the way you relate to yourself, your emotions, and your relationships.
Many adults who have experienced chronic stress, emotional neglect, attachment wounds, or difficult family dynamics learn to survive by becoming highly responsible, self-reliant, or disconnected from their own needs. You may find yourself struggling with people pleasing, difficulty setting boundaries, feeling emotionally overwhelmed, shutting down, or questioning your own thoughts and feelings.
Trauma therapy can help you understand these patterns with compassion while creating new ways of responding. Rather than focusing only on what happened in the past, therapy helps you build safety in the present, strengthen your connection with yourself, and develop a more compassionate relationship with the parts of you that have been carrying these experiences for years.
Using trauma-informed approaches including parts work, attachment-focused therapy, and EMDR, I support women in understanding the impact of past experiences, reducing distressing symptoms, and developing greater self-trust, emotional resilience, and connection with themselves and others.
Trauma therapy may be helpful if you experience:
Difficulty trusting yourself or your decisions
Chronic guilt, shame, or feeling responsible for others
People pleasing or difficulty saying no
Feeling disconnected from your emotions or body
Anxiety, emotional overwhelm, or feeling constantly on edge
Relationship patterns connected to fear of rejection or abandonment
Difficulty identifying your own needs
A sense that you have always had to be “the strong one”
You do not have to continue living in survival mode. Therapy can help you understand your story, honor the ways you learned to cope, and begin creating a life that feels more aligned with who you are.
